Hanson Brick adds five colors to its residential palette in Texas

• New additions include variations on market favorites and classic colors designed to give builders greater flexibility

Hanson Brick, North America's largest brick manufacturer, has introduced color variations on three popular bricks and has resumed production of two favorites in response to customer preferences for color trends and product versatility.

"We have listened to builders and designers who want a greater variety of colors to match their design vision," said Thad Cleckler, vice president of sales for Hanson's West region. "These five bricks offer an expanded color range with special emphasis on earth tones and styles that create a rustic look."

Responding to the trend towards earth tones, Hanson developed three bricks in the brown color family.

Cajun Bayou, a lighter version of Hanson's Cajun French brick from Hanson's Caddo plant, is a beige brick with tinges of brown, gray and cream-color slurry applications. It has a die skin face with roller imprint and side/end texturing. Cajun Bayou is available in Big John size.

Pecan Arbor is a softer version of Hanson's Rustic Brown brick from the Athens plant. It has a red-brown body with rolled gray and cream-colored slurry applications and features a velour face with roller imprint and texturing. Pecan Arbor is available in the Western King size.

San Gabriel, from Hanson's Elgin 2 plant, is a beige body brick with white and black sand/slurry that draws inspiration from the Old Smokey brick produced at Hanson's Athens plan. San Gabriel is available in Western King size.

Hanson has also resumed production of two favorites: Kingston and Redstone.

Kingston, from Hanson's Ogden 2 plant, is a true gray limestone brick with white accents and serves well as both an accent and a whole-home brick. It is available in the Ogden King size.

Redstone, from Hanson's Athens plant, is a red clay brick with velour skin and roller imprint, and includes charcoal and white accents for a classic French Quarter look. It is available in the Western King size.
